The T2 from sE electronics is the ultimate combination of solid state performance and versatility. It delivers perfectly balanced mid and low frequencies, while at the same time not overdone and high resolution treble.
It is based on the enclosure and features of the sE4400a and is equipped with a very special titanium diaphragm. This is much stiffer than the gold damped diaphragms often used and therefore much more accurate in transmitting transients. Because of these diaphragm characteristics, the T2 is ideal for percussive recordings such as studio drums, plucked guitar, hammered piano, kick drum or slap bass.
In addition, it is the ideal broadcast microphone for speech, since the intelligibility of any speech recording goes hand in hand with a good reproduction of the HF range (e.g. of plosives such as "P" or "T"), and a microphone with a correspondingly good HF resolution is required.
