The flexibility of the xmax 500 is reflected in numerous practical features: The soft clip limiter ensures gentle peak limiting and preserves the analog character, while the lowmo filter specifically removes low-frequency components from the stereo image, ensuring a clearly defined bass response. Thanks to the high-shelf equalizer, the treble image can be fine-tuned - for more presence or gentle smoothing in the upper frequency range. This is complemented by the punch mode, which raises the compression ratios and thus provides more energy and assertiveness, perfect for powerful drums or powerful basslines.

Maximum control thanks to a well thought-out layout

The xmax 500 impresses with an intuitive user interface with a clear level display for gain reduction and Soft clipping. With variable crossover frequency and individual control of threshold, gain and Release for each band, this device offers maximum flexibility for mixing and mastering applications. Balanced signal routing via the standardized 500 rack format allows lossless integration into existing studio setups, while the compact module design of the xmax 500 fits seamlessly into any lunchbox, providing a flexible solution for professional studio applications.

With a frequency response from below 10 Hz to 180 kHz, a dynamic range of 112 dB and a harmonic distortion value of just 0.01 %, the xmax 500 meets even the highest professional demands.
