The ultimate transient shaper for mastering
The elysia nvelope Mastering Edition is a transient designerdeveloped by the father of the original SPL Transient Designer. With its gridded pots, the device allows direct access to the envelope of the audio signal by influencing the intensity of Attack and Sustain. This feature makes a snare or a drum kit, for example, sound much more aggressive and be played back with more punch. Of course, this also works the other way round if the sound is too banging or hissing. This makes the nvelope in the Mastering Edition an effective tool for shaping individual signals.
Functions and working modes
The nvelope Mastering Edition offers several working modes:
EQ mode: If the device is running in EQ mode, it transforms into a two-band EQ with a high/low shelf characteristic, which also works in Stereo Link mode.
Mixed mode: Mixed mode only works when the nvelope is not in Stereo Link mode, as in this mode both channels are operated as independent signal processors. Different modes (e.g. full range on the left channel and Dual band on the right channel) can be used simultaneously on both channels.
Full Range mode: In this setting, it is possible to quickly and successfully increase or decrease the intensity of Attack and Sustain.
Dual Band mode: This mode works in the same way as Full Range, but Attack and Sustain each have an additional frequency control (Freq S) for fine tuning.
Stereo Link mode: Linking of both channels for processing Stereo signals.
