The Zoom G5n Amp Modeller and Multi Effects Unit is a complete sound solution for guitarists looking to emulate their favourite bands and design new sounds for their instrument. The G5n has ultra-realistic amplifier and cabinet emulation accessible by running the system through a PA or audio interface. The 5 classic amplifier models on offer here are the Marshall JCM800, Fender Twin Reverb, MESA Boogie Mk3, Bogner Ecstasy Blue Channel and British 30W Class A Combo and all can be adjusted as though the physical amplifier combo were in front of you. Pair the amp of your choice with one of the five newly created cabinet emulators to finish your basic sound set-up - Marshall 1960 A-type cabinet (4x12” Celestion speakers), Fender ’65 Twin Reverb (2x12” Jensen speakers), the UK2x12 that recreates the sound of early British combo amps (2x12” Celestion speakers), Mesa Boogie Mark III cab (1x12” Celestion Black Shadow speaker), or Bogner Ecstasy cabinet (4x12” Celestion speakers) are all available. This alone provides an impressive scope for sonic exploration, but this is just the beginning of the G5n’s capabilities.
An on-board stereo looper and tuner will be a welcome addition for many solo performers, the USB interface providing convenient connectivity to DAWs, PAs or mixing desks as the situation dictates. Special mention must be made for the pre-sets found on the G5n – already numbering over 100 patches, many produced by famous artists, and many more designed to sound like the greatest guitar heroes ever to walk the boards. As well as creating your own personal patches, a growing online database of sounds is growing daily.

Zoom G5nVery user-friendly effect, with great sound and rock-solid build. All the options are at your fingertips (or toe-tips for that matter ;-)). Love the fact it is now shipped with Steinberg's Cubase LE for more creative options: you plug it via USB to your PC, and just fire up Cubase and record/practice - very handy. Programmability is great (you have enough amps/cabinets and pedals to create your own signature sound), and the Zoom G5n can't be beaten for price/quality ration by any of the competitors on the market.
A good pedal for guitarists who need to have a first taste of how guitar effect pedals work. It does not sound great but it sounds more than decent and gives you the opportunity to try lots of sounds.
i got this to utilize effects such as pitch shift and wah, this thing has a HUGE variety of effects aswell as amp and cabs
the amp and cabs are not the greatest but i wouldn't expect this from a device of this price point, the effects are amazing and hold up very well in my studio
