ZILDJIAN K Light Flat Ride
The Zildjian K' Light Flat Ride Cymbal 20" is a 20" ride cymbal made from B20 bronze, crafted using complex hammering and lathing techniques, and comes in a traditional finish. This thin weight flat ride cymbal has extreme stick definition and a palatable level of wash. A traditional flat ride sound with warmth, this 20" ride is a great addition to any set-up needing a cymbal that you can go to when the music gets softer. The K series is a further development of the original cymbals, that was created by Kerope Zildjian as far back as the 19th century. The sound character of this cymbal is low, dry and shimmering. The complex hammering and the fine lathing refine the cymbals from the K Series to versatile instruments with a large range of high and low frequencies, which can sound mild or intense depending on playing style. This cymbal is a very light and thin ride with extremely defined stick definition and a very comfortable roar, producing a traditional flat-ride-sound with a lot of warmth.

Zildjian K' Light Flat Ride 20", Traditional Finish
I’m a total cymbal snob, and don’t particularly think Zildjian cymbals are that fantastic. But this is just an amazing cymbal. It has all the benefits of the ordinary flat ride: pristine wash, clear stick definition but it also opens up in a beautiful way when you accent or crash it. This is because it’s really thin near the edges. As far as I know, they were the first to make a flat ride in this way, so hats off to Zildjian R&D for this one.
An amazing cymbal for any type of low volume playing!
