The Yamaha YDP-103 Digital Piano is the ideal instrument to start playing the piano. The digital piano is equipped with 88 touch-sensitive, weighted piano keys, 10 tones, a metronome and some other interesting features. A 12-watt amplifier system ensures that the sound is very natural and powerful. A headphone connection is available for quiet practice.
The Yamaha YDP-103 is equipped with a Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) hammer mechanism. This high-quality keyboard provides a natural playing feeling, just as one is used to with a piano. The matt surface of the black keys is still very handy even after long practice.
Especially the piano sound is the heart of a digital piano. In the Yamaha YDP-103 Yamaha uses its AWM (Advanced Wave Memory) sound synthesis and is therefore able to reproduce a real piano sound optimally. AWM is a digital recording method that records acoustic instruments and then reproduces them digitally. In addition, the YDP-103 offers other sound colours, such as digital piano, harpsichord, organ or even a complete string orchestra. The selection of the tones is very easy with only 1 key and the piano keyboard, so that the surface is not overloaded with an unnecessary number of control keys and you can concentrate on your playing at any time.
Yamaha has implemented other useful functions in the YDP-103. The digital piano contains a metronome. It makes it easier for beginners to practice, because you always have the right beat. To make it even easier to use, Yamaha provides an app for the instrument. Simply connect your iPad via USB or an optional W-Lan adapter.
