The Yamaha THR5A Acoustic Guitar Amp is an acoustic guitar amp and recording interface. The THR5A is optimized for use with electric-acoustic and silent guitars. Utilising advanced modelling technologies developed by Yamaha, THR5A offers simulations of classic tube condenser and dynamic mics combined with studio-grade effects to create recording-studio tone direct from your guitar and wherever you are.

Excellent practice amp plus

Using it with nylon strung ukulele, so cannot comment on the options for steel strings. Portable, loud for what it is, great for making practicing more interesting, and to pick up errors. Capable of reinforcing sound for small intimate gigs. Multi-use, excellent as a plug-in to improve the sound from a Chromebook / phone / tablet / laptop. Now, if it onlyu had a line out...

Yamaha THR-5A Super device!

After first day of testing and playing with new amplifier I am more than happy. Together with Yamaha NCX1 it opens new world of sound. And I even did not start to play with CUBASE AI. Highly recommneding.
