The Yamaha Silent-Guitar is a highly developed solid-body guitar that can produce a distinctly authentic classical guitar sound. This is aided not only by the high-quality construction but also by the sophisticated pickup system, which is equipped with numerous functions. For example, the sound can also be played through headphones, making the instrument excellent for practising. Because of its detachable frame, the Yamaha SLG200 N Crimson Red Burst can also be easily transported from A to B and thus turns out to be an ideal companion when travelling. The flat neck can be played optimally with a generous cutaway in all 19 frets and has enough space for complex chords and solos. Furthermore, the finely tuned Hardware ensures optimal intonation over the entire 650 mm scale length. Conveniently, the Silent-Guitar comes with a bag and in-ear headphones.

Structure and woods
To make the construction very stable, the narrow body is made of mahogany. The multi-layered frame is made of maple and rosewood and is fixed with the help of two screws, which also serve as strap pins. A rosewood fingerboard is attached to the mahogany neck, which rests on the body from the 12th fret. The cantilevered Cutaway on the lower fixed frame is also made of the finest mahogany.
Hardware
The compensated bridge inlay and the 50 mm wide nut made of urea guarantee a clean sound development in all pitches, while the in-house classical tuners allow easy tuning of the 6 nylon strings. These are simply threaded through the Rosewood bridge, so they can be replaced effortlessly. Attached to the body is a black pickguard that completes the instrument's functionality.
Electronics
The heart of the guitar is undoubtedly the extensive SRT-Powered pickup system, which, in addition to a piezo element under the saddle, has a microphone simulation that can be mixed in using a blend control. This opens up the possibility of reproducing the sound of an acoustic guitar true to the original, even without its own sound. The output signal can also be individually adjusted in the bass and treble frequencies via a 2-band equalizer. The system is powered by two AA batteries.

I absolutely love this Guitar, I gave this 5 stars for the Playability, the design, the overall look, the feel and the overall Sound, I have several guitars to my collection and this is a gem that I have now added to my recordings, with the Cordoba Stage will make a wonderful blend in the mix. I would certainly recommend this Yamaha Silent guitar for all for the Professional and Semi.

I wanted a classical guitar that was easy to transport and could be played without disturbing others. This is perfect. It is well made, with good intonation and action. The on board fx are great. It means I can really enjoy long trips away from home and not miss out on my favourite hobby of playing the classical guitar.
