Yamaha P-143 Stage Piano at a glance:
The P-143 is the latest Generation from Yamaha's popular P series and comes in an elegant case that is slightly shorter, flatter and more compact than its predecessor. The new GHC (Graded Hammer Compact) keyboard with hammer action has a well-balanced dynamic range and therefore conveys a piano-like playing feel. A great deal of attention was paid to the P-143's sustaining piano sound, which is digitally reproduced and based on the CFIII's flagship concert grand piano with authentic-sounding damper resonance.
Note
The P-143 is almost identical in construction to the P-145, the only difference being that the P-143 does not have the connection for the triple pedal. Everything else (appearance, dimensions, sounds, features) is identical.
Features
A total of 10 sounds are available. The 64-voice polyphony is sufficiently high to ensure that there is enough headroom even when playing fast and that no fading note is swallowed up. Four different Reverb effects provide a little more brilliance and spatial sound on request. The dual and layered keyboard modes are also implemented, allowing two sounds to be distributed and layered across the entire keyboard. A metronome can be switched on at any time for rhythmic accompaniment. The Yamaha P-143 comes with 303 learning songs that can be accessed via the Smart Pianist app (Android / iOS). If you would like to present your exercises and new works to others, you can do this digitally and conveniently with the Rec'n'Share app. MIDI and audio are exchanged with the computer via USB. This benefits all musicians who want to use the digital piano for composing and producing together with a DAW. The position and angle of the built-in speakers have been placed in such a way that they reproduce the sound reflected from the soundboard and lid of an acoustic grand piano as accurately as possible.
