The Yamaha P-125 is an easy-to-transport stage piano with 88 weighted keys. The Stagepiano impresses by its slim design, a high-quality and natural sound and offers thanks to the Yamaha GHS keyboard an authentic playing feeling. The P-125 already includes 24 tones, 2o rhythms, Intelligent Acoustic Optimizer and an amplifier system with an output of 2x7 watts. With an additionally available connection cable you can connect the Stagepiano to an iPhone/iPad and use the free Smart Pianist App.
Hammer mechanism for a natural playing feel
The Yamaha P-125 is equipped with a Grade Hammer Standard (GHS) keyboard. This high-quality, weighted keyboard provides a natural playing feel like you are used to from an acoustic piano. A matt surface of the black keys absorbs moisture from the hands, making them less slippery even after long periods of practice.
High-quality piano sound and other sounds
The Yamaha P-125 contains the sound of Yamaha's famous CFII 9-foot concert grand, which has been faithfully reproduced. This creates a high dynamic and expressiveness. Damper resonance and string resonance together with the reverb effect provide an excellent grand piano sound with authentic reverberation. In addition, the P-125 offers 23 other sounds.
Practice in the right tackle
The Yamaha P-125 features 20 drum tracks that keep you in time at all times. In addition, a bass track is also recorded.
Powerful loudspeakers
With its 2-way 2x7-watt speaker system and the latest acoustic technology, the Yamaha P-125 offers authentic sound experiences.
Although it's early days with this piano, I'm very pleased with it. The keyboard action is a decent replication of an acoustic piano. Of course, even real pianos vary considerably in feel, and I don't claim to have extensive experience, but I believe it is good enough for a beginner/intermediate player to appreciate and help with practicing one's touch and expression. The piano sound is good for this price range, but the other sounds are not really much more than for novelty factor, in my opinion. They aren't terrible by any means, but be realistic with your expectations. This was purchased primarily to practice on, with headphones, although the speaker sound is decent and loud enough. For stage performance, however, it would certainly benefit from additional speakers / P.A., but that should be obvious to any potential purchaser for this use. The record function is great for practice and easy to use. The build quality is very good as you would expect from Yamaha. It's great value for money in my opinion. I was also looking at the Roland FP-30 but I'm not regretting my choice, given the functions of this Yamaha. I would certainly recommend for this price range. Plus the service from Music Store is spot on! Many thanks.
This is the second Yamaha P series I have bought and it won't be the last. The key action is amazing and feels almost like a real Yamaha grand piano. The quality of the sounds is amazing. It is easy to connect to any sound card or device so super convenient for studio or recording work too. I cannot recommend enough.
