The NP-15 from Yamaha is a digital piano in a slim keyboard format with a semi-weighted 61-key keyboard and a good-sounding 2x 2.5 watt Stereo speaker system. The well-playable instrument is aimed at beginners as well as advanced players and offers 15 sounds with the current AWM sound generation, which can be spiced up with a reverb effect in six variations if required. Thus, the keyboard piano covers a wide range that appeals to keyboard players from the classical field, but also jazz and band keyboardists alike. The polyphony of 64 voices is sufficiently high to ensure smooth playing. Here you can also choose the dual mode, with which you can play two sounds on top of each other, as well as the split mode, with which you can play a second sound on the left side of the keyboard. To be able to keep time while practising and playing, a metronome can be switched on at any time. The single-track recording function has a capacity of about 7,000 notes; this is useful, among other things, to check yourself, but also to replace the third and fourth hand on the instrument. Due to the amazingly low weight of only 5.2 kilos (without batteries), the NP-15 is a recommendation for all those who travel with their instrument frequently and appreciate the functionality of a digital piano as well as the form factor of a keyboard.
