The YM-5100 A from Yamaha is a 41 note marimbaphone. It has a 5 octave range from C - C4 and the bars made from Honduras rosewood sound truly beautiful. It features the highest class of traditional craftsmanship paired with the very latest in materials technology. These give the instrument a rich, glowing tone and perfect intonation.

The frames have been exquisitely crafted of natural-finish wood and strong, but lightweight, metal. They can be dismantled and reassembled easily and quickly, making transport from place to place very easy. The 'one-piece' design resonators fold in to the middle of the instrument for easy packing or assembly, and the 4 (100mm) castors make for easy manoeuvring. With the compressed gas spring support, height adjustment has never been so quick and easy. This makes it very useful in schools or in other situations where more than one person would be playing the same instrument.
