Live Custom Set from Yamaha in Jazz configuration
The Yamaha LiveCustom Hybrid Set Jazz UZU Natural is a high-end shell set with hybrid shells made of oak/phenol. The shells of the Yamaha LiveCustom Hybrid series consist of a total of 7 plies, three plies on the outside and one ply on the inside, each surrounded by a layer of phenol. This is a synthetic resin that gives the sound massive power and a lot of projection. Another special feature is the unusual finish: a Japanese technique called "UZUKURI" was used here. The softer parts of the wood grain are sanded down and pre-painted to give Finish more structure and highlight finer color details.
YES III tom holder & Remo heads
Another new development are the Yamaha Bass Enhancement Weights, which are attached to the screws on the inside of the Bass Drum and emphasize the low frequencies significantly better.
The shell hardware is finished in elegant BlackSilver and the inside of the shells is also painted black. The tom suspension has also been innovatively renewed: the YESS III system provides even more volume and sustain, and the shells resonate completely freely. Remo Emperor heads are fitted on the Toms and Remo Powerstroke 3 on the Bass drum.
