The Yamaha HS 7 active studio monitor is an active near-field monitor that is ideally suited for use in smaller studios and home recording applications due to its typical Yamaha neutral sound reproduction. As with the other models in the HS series, Yamaha continues the basic philosophy of accurate, data-rich reproduction that has made these monitors a standard in studios around the world. Equipped with an 8" cone woofer (60W) and a 1" dome tweeter (35W), the HS 7 studio monitor is a good choice for smaller project studios.
I am very satisfied with this purchase. Low and high frequencies are nicely defined. You hear much more than on my old speakers. The sound is deep and nicely balanced. I definitely love the design and I would definitely recommend these speakers for a home studio.

These are great monitors and excellent quality/price ratio. My room is very small but these nearfield monitors give me the right information i need. besides, i have some room correction options wich is a plus. sound is crystal clear, very linear and gave my productions that extra push.
I was used to working with those good old NS10 and these have pushed the bar a little further. Keeping faithful to the sound clarity on the mid range that so many people have trusted for years, these HS models, particularly these HS7 that Im using daily for a month now, bring a refreshing take with a bit more low end...
Bought these monitors to use them together with my BOSS BR-800 recorder. The sound from the monitors are really great and they are true to the original music. I listened to some well known tracks from various artists, and I must say, there where instruments that did come much more detailed from these monitors, than I was used to from my HiFi speakers (Dynaudio). So, if you are looking for Monitors, check these Yamaha HS7 out! In white they are also great looking.
