Dreadnought with solid spruce top, frame and back from Nato and Okume
Yamaha's Go-To acoustic guitars from the popular FG series have received some useful updates with the 800 generation. First, the conventional ceiling bracing has been reworked and tapered at essential points. This so-called "Scalloped Bracing", in cooperation with a wafer-thin finish, provides a more intense sound with improved resonance and radiance. In addition, a solid spruce top on a body of Nato and Okume provides an open-sounding basic character with warm basses, nuanced mids and brilliant treble. This makes the Yamaha FG 800 ideal for powerful vocal accompaniment with strumming or flatpicking. In addition, the chrome-plated die-cast tuners keep the tuning clean, while a compensated bridge inlay of urea keeps the intonation clean and the strings flat.
The Yamaha FG 800 BS Brown Sunburst:
Dreadnought Western Guitar
Solid spruce top on a body of Nato and Okume for a radiant sound
Scalloped bracing and a wafer-thin finish for a more intense sound with improved resonance
Ideal for a powerful vocal accompaniment
Chrome-plated die-cast tuners
Compensated bridge insert made of urea for clean intonation
I'm not going to pretend like my opinion means a great deal since this is my first and only guitar, but I've been learning with it and it's been a dream to play.

Ordered this guitar on Thursday and it arrived safe and sound on Monday. Cannot fault the service from DV247 Music Store and the guitar is pretty awesome too.
