The latest iteration of the popular DXR Series Loudspeakers has been created in conjunction with touring specialists and engineers to deliver more features for the contemporary sound reinforcement professional.
The Yamaha DXR10 MkII 1100W Active Loudspeaker 10" is a powered speaker with 1100W Class-D power amplifier which offers full bandwidth in combination with a powerful woofer and Yamaha's innovative technologies. Equipped with a 1.75" neodymium RF compression driver (the powered speaker) and a powerful 10" AF unit, a well-defined, distortion-free and very powerful sound is provided. It produces a maximum sound pressure level of 132dB and offers a wide frequency range from 56Hz-20kHz.
The high-precision 48-bit DSP processing produces a clear high-definition sound and the built-in D-Contour multiband compressor ensures a powerful and clear sound even at maximum output level. With 2x different settings (FOH/Main and Monitor) D-Contour offers a detailed tuning of your sound independent of the application. Yamaha's in-house developed FIR-X Tuning Crossover (with phase-linear splitting) simultaneously optimizes frequency and phase response by perfectly matching the propagation delay of the HF and LF transducers.
Alongside the tweeter is a newly developed 90° x 60° horn in CD design (Constant Directivity). The dispersion behaviour has been optimized so that, in contrast to conventional horns, even at very oblique angles a precise and balanced reproduction is achieved. So a larger area can be sonicated without disturbing irregularities. The opening angle of the optimum directivity is 90° in the horizontal and 60° in the vertical. Thus, even in the outermost corners of the public address area, the entire frequency spectrum is maintained.
Intelligent 3-Channel Mixer
The DXR MkII family features a flexible, multi-input mixer, making it ideal for simply amplifying vocals or instruments. The internal mixer handles up to 3x inputs that can be used simultaneously. They accept both line and microphone levels, so you can connect all sorts of different microphones, line instruments and portable audio devices. In the Mic position, a high-pass filter is automatically activated to hide unwanted impact sound.
All DXR speakers have a high-pass filter adjustment to match the DSR and DXS speaker models. You can choose between 100Hz and 120Hz cut-off frequency, depending on which subwoofer you are using. The DXS subwoofers also have an adaptive low-pass filter (LPF), so nothing stands in the way of a perfectly optimized HPF/LPF combination.
Each channel has its own volume control, so you can mix 3x independent signal sources. At Thru, the input signal from channel 1 is present. Link Out carries the sum of all channels and is perfect for serial connections or when the summed signal is to be routed to another location. Link Out is also very useful if a compact PA is to be formed with another DXR. With Link Mode you can choose between stereo and dual mono mode.
Compact ABS Housing
The DXR MkII speakers are characterized by a robust, low-resonance ABS housing, which is able to absorb high-level vibrations. This reduces distortion to a minimum and ensures superior sound quality. These roadworthy enclosures are equipped with sturdy grilles and ergonomic aluminium handles, making them even more durable and easily transported.
Rig Mounting Fixtures
The loudspeakers of the DXR series are equipped with devices for rig assembly via standard eyebolts*. If more variations are needed when hanging, the use of optional U-bars is recommended. They allow an uncomplicated "flying" of the boxes with horizontal or vertical orientation.
* Eye bolts are optional.
