This speaker is superb value for money, it is light, compact and versatile. It can be used by itself for a small ipod party, or 2 speakers linked together for speakers and/or small performances. As a DJ it is perfect for the small venues and it delivers clear and crisp sound and it is VERY LOUD! Best buy this year for sure
Due to the release of the MKII model these speakers are being sold at a bargain price- there is a miniscule difference between this and the MKII. I started with one speaker and was so impressed I ordered another! They are light weight, sound amazing and look professional. If I have any complaint it's only that they are actively cooled and you do hear the the fan, however it is not unpleasant and once the music starts you do not hear it at all!! That little fan also enables Yamaha to give you an amazing 7 year warranty!! I love Yamaha and these speakers are an example of why! Highly recommended, get them while you can
I’m rating one I purchased from another supplier as the one from dv247 arrived (from Germany) with the wrong lead, they sent a figure eight lead instead of the correct UK ‘kettle’ lead and I’m still waiting for the correct lead to arrive! Anyway the other speaker was tested out by connecting an MP3 player which sounded really good, I hope to hook up my keyboard when the lead arrives so I can really test them out.
