With the Yamaha CPX 1000 BS, the Japanese traditional manufacturer presents an acoustic guitar in medium-jumbo size that produces a powerful and fast-responding tone. In addition, the flat neck guarantees a pleasant playability in all 20 frets, which can be accessed optimally thanks to the generous cutaway. At the same time, the finely tuned Hardware ensures clean intonation on the complete 650 mm scale. Visually, the instrument is rounded off by the versatile inlays and the precise gold die-cast tun ers, which are tastefully matched. With the help of the in-house System 64 ART pickup system, the acoustic sound can also be amplified to its best.

Structure and woods
In order for the guitar to produce a balanced sound, the top is made of solid spruce. Laminated maple back and sides color the tone with a wide-ranging and warm note, making the instrument excellent for vocal accompaniment. Meanwhile, the appropriate playability is provided by the nato neck, which is equipped with a rosewood fretboard that measures 43 mm at the nut.
Hardware and design
While the saddle and nut made of urea ensure perfect fret purity, the tuners promise precise tuning of the 6 steel strings. Conveniently, a tuner is integrated into the built-in side preamp, which displays the respective pitch on a LED-Display during tuning. A large Compass-Inlay is incorporated into the headstock, which is the eponym of the entire series. Matching to this, the fretboard is marked with large inlays that serve as orientation. The overall picture is completed by the noble high-gloss finish.
