Yamaha CP40 Stage Piano

The Yamaha CP40 Stage is a new addition to the CP range of stage pianos, offering a full 88-key piano in a lightweight and portable design.

The Yamaha CP40 Stage features 88 Graded Hammer Action keys for an authentic and comfortable playing experience. The CP40 Stage’s sounds have been taken from Yamaha’s flagship MOTIF sound engine, and include 15 grand piano voices based on Yamaha’s legendary, hand-crafted CFIIIS grand piano. As well as acoustic pianos, there are 35 vintage electric piano sounds such as Tine, Reed, DX and the original CP80.

Additional instrument sounds include basses, Clavinovas, strings and pads, while the inclusion of Virtual Circuit Modelling effects in the form of reverb, chorus, three-band EQ and compressor means each sound can be tweaked to suit almost any style or genre.

The CP40 Stage comes with the Yamaha FC3 foot pedal for half damper and sound-board resonance. Just like the other pianos in the range, the CP40 Stage offers the ability to layer and split sounds for a truly versatile instrument. Brightly lit buttons make navigating easy, and a touch of the Main Solo button takes you straight back to the default piano sound.
