With the A5M ARE, Yamaha presents an innovative dreadnought that meets the perfect instrument for every performance requirement. A scalloped bracing and the thermally treated Sitka spruce top deliver a balanced sound image with dynamic nuances, like a guitar that has been played for years. Thanks to solid wood with Sitka spruce top and a rosewood body, this Dreadnought resonates with warm and powerful bass, colourful mid-range and clear and fine silver highs.
In addition, the "High Comfort" neck profile with rounded fingerboard edges offers a soft and pleasant playing feeling. The open Gotoh mechanisms allow fast and accurate tuning. Last but not least, an original Yamaha case is already included.

From piezo to pure, warm acoustic sound: Yamaha's SRT2 pickup
The innovative SRT2 pickup offers a wide range of professional sound reproduction. Accordingly, the portion of the Undersaddle pickup can be mixed with two microphone types to achieve the optimum sound result. For the simulated microphone signal, a Neumann U67 and a Royer R122 were used as models.
A total of four controllers are available: Knob(A) controls the output volume, knob(B) adjusts the high frequencies, knob(C) provides the level adjustments of the low bass frequencies, while pressing activates automatic feedback reduction. Control (D) controls the mixing level between the pickup and the simulated microphone source, while pressing switches between the two microphone types.
Great guitar! Watched many youtube and other rewiews before buying. Exellent electronics and one of the best quality-price ratios on the acoustic-electric market convinced me to buy this. Have played now about three months and been very pleased. The guitar is very light and super easy to play and it sounds very balanced and rich both plugged and unplugged. One thing I must say that you should consider is that the neck widht is rather slim. So if you have thick/big fingers and you play fingerstyle this might be a problem because the right hand fingers easily hit unwanted strings and make all kinds of bell and whistle noises. All and all great guitar!
This guitar met all my expectations. Flawless build from Japan, and the sound is clear, bright and with fine details. I was looking for a high quality guitar at a reasonable price and got it.
