Samarkanda is the name of the quadruple mega delay-ay-ay-ay from Xaoc Devices, which offers complete freedom thanks to its modular design. The module consists of four equally structured delay effects that are capable of complex effect combinations thanks to sophisticated linking options and normalized outputs. Each Delay has three time ranges from 0.5ms to 15 seconds and can even cover up to 60 seconds if all channels are stacked. The sound character can be switched between digital and analog for each channel. You can set Delay time, Feedback and dry/wet mix, for which control voltage inputs are also available. In addition, reverse delay and buffer freezing can be switched on manually or via Gate. Each Delay can have its own free-running Clock or can be synchronized to a master clock. The delays can be linked together using the link function. Depending on which link button is activated, settings are adopted from the previous channel. The operating modes are impressive for a delay effect of this size. If no channels are linked together, the module operates as a quadruple single delay. Link combinations containing two to four delays create dual stereo delay, multi-tap or multi-channel delay, single or multi-tap reverse delay, quad/polyphonic resonator, dual chorus, dual flanger, reverb, Looper (with sound-on-sound!) and granulator! With Samarkanda, Xaoc Devices has created an Eldorado for delay fans that is second to none in terms of flexibility.
