Mini version of the Overrated Special Overdrive
The Overrated Special Overdrive has been a central part of Joe Bonamassas live setup for some time now and made audiences all over the world listen with rapt attention to its striking sound with its strong character. Originally built only three times by Jeorge Tripps for Smokin' Joe based on a heavily modified Way Huge Green Rhino, this unique pedal is now available in the compact Smalls format.
Like Joe Bonamassas Original, the Way Huge Smalls Overrated Special delivers a powerful, transparent overdrive that provides a juicy boost with the right amount of "dirt" in front of the clean amplifier, or puts an amp that is already tearing slightly into burning lead areas. The sound character can be adjusted using the Drive and Tone controls. The Smalls Overrated Special version also offers a frequency control for selecting the center frequency to be processed, which can be used to edit the low centers for Smokin' Joe's signature tone.
