Like its orange brother, the Warm Audio TB12 Tone Beast Black is no delicate wallflower. This makes the Tone Be ast with appropriate treatment by its characteristic coloring clearly clear. As soon as the unit is fed with a high gain, it shows its true strength. However, since this is not always appropriate in every situation, the unit offers different modes. The 1731 is a vintage style opamp and has more coloration than the more clean, modern and mild saturation of the 918. If absolutely no coloration is desired, the output transformers can be disabled via a bypass switch.
