With the Walrus Audio Slötvå, the creative effects company from Oklahoma City expands its successful reverb pedal and the ability to save three sound settings as presets and recall them at any time. naturally, the Slötvå comes with the three strong character multi-texture Reverb algorithms, with which dreamy soundscapes and spherical ambient sounds can be realized. In addition, the compact effect pedal offers a mixable modulation effect and a sustain switch that extends the reverb tail to infinity if desired. To control the sound, furthermore the usual controls for mix, Decay and filter are available, while the X-potadjusts a parameter depending on the selected algorithm.
Walrus Audio Slötvå with three characterful reverbs
At the heart of the Slötvå pedal are three different effect algorithms that promise characterful reverb sounds. The Dark algorithm here octaves the reverb tail down and delivers a deep, nightmarish sound atmosphere if desired. The Rise setting, on the other hand, stands for a particularly wide, slowly swelling reverb that lets slowly played notes breathe deeply. Last but not least, the Dream mode freezes part of the reverb tail and adds a shimmering vibrato effect.
Integrated modulation effect with high variability.
In addition, the Slötvå Multi-Textured Reverb offers an integrated modulation effect that brings the reverb tail to life. Here, the Depth control regulates the depth of the modulations as usual, while the modulation rate can be adjusted via its secondary function. furthermore, three different waveforms can be selected via the secondary function of the algorithm switch, with two asymmetrical shapes available in addition to the traditional sine wave with Warp and Sink.
Presets and Trails
The highlight of the Walrus Audio Slötvå is furthermore the possibility to save three effect settings as presets that can be recalled at any time, so that even longer shows with different sound requirements can be contested without any problems. In addition, the pedal offers a Trails mode, which allows the reverb tail to fade out after the effect is turned off, if desired.
