The Walrus Audio Deep Six Compressor is an effect pedal for electric guitar that offers studio-grade dynamic processing to give musicians control over their final signal envelope. The Deep Six is inspired by Universal Audio’s classic 1176 hardware compressor, renowned for its fast attack/release times and versatile range, which can be virtually transparent or driven to distorted saturation. The Deep Six offers Blend and Attack controls which allows use of the pedal with active pick-ups or humbuckers, whilst the working voltage is internally transformed to 18V for extended headroom and high signal fidelity. The Blend control offers use of the unit with high output instruments whilst taming any unwanted distortion present.
