I have a decent sound system and I have purchased two of these cables to connect my DAC to my clock, replacing the ones that came in the original package.
I have plenty of other Vovox cables. I have used all sorts of alternatives, some expensive. While exotica have their benefits, I always seem to return to Vovox as a brand because of the value proposition.
The likes of Mogami Gold and many audiophile cables condition the sound giving you a nice, smooth sound with (too) good (to be true) bass and midrange. Vovox on the other hand favour detail and transparency. Some find them bright but this is not my experience. If your system is bright, you have a harsh sounding DAC or poor recordings, Vovox will expose them. But if you have good kit and a good recording Vovox will get out of the way and just let you hear MORE of it. The build quality is excellent, better than any professional cables I have used so far and some audiophile leads costing a lot.
I wasn't expecting the clock cable would make much of an audible difference but it did. As above, with these cables my system is more transparent and detailed and the difference is obvious. Maybe the presentation is a tad leaner but one would argue that Vovox just lays bare the recording, rather than spreading butter all over it.
I am using Mogami Gold for my home theatre because I like that fatter presentation but, for critical listening on a revealing system, Mogami does not cut the mustard. For my stereo system Vovox hasn't disappointed so far. Again, high end alternatives can give you more but with Vovox you don't miss much and, for the price, these cables are a steal.
I haven't tried their new Excelsus line yet (seems to be mostly unavailable as it has just been released) but I am looking forward to it. Unfortunately no BNC Excelsus cables in the new lineup so this is so far the best BNC you can currently get from Vovox.
