The Violectric DHA V590² is a high-end all-in-one solution for the audiophile connoisseur who doesn't want to sacrifice quality in any respect but still wants to take advantage of the convenience of modern streaming offerings and not be limited to one playback option: Because the DHA V590² is not only a headphone amplifier and digital-to-analog converter but also provides an excellent preamplifier that can be connected to any studio or hi-fi power amplifier.
The DHA V590² accepts all common digital formats (AES/EBU, S/PDIF, PCM, DSD) except ADAT and achieves with its converters from ESS-Tech amaximum resolution of 384kHz at 32bit and a sensational dynamic range of 180dB, which is clearly more than the human ear can perceive in terms of dynamics. The converter chips are embedded in a highly developed architecture of the reference class, which guarantees resolution and clocking in highest quality by means of resampler and reclocker. But Violectric has spared no effort in the analog circuitry either: The amplifier works with an operating voltage of 50V and pulls up the input signal in 16 steps to the headphone level with a completely balanced design. This way you get an absolutely linear, low-noise and distortion-free output signal. At the same time, the Violectric DHA V590² achieves an output level that is more than sufficient even for very high-impedance or magnetostatic transducers and protects your probably very expensive and sensitive headphones from overload, overvoltage and DC breakdown by means of elaborate circuitry.
