The Vintage Reissued VJ74NAT MN Natural E-Bass from Trevor Wilkinson's instrument forge offers an authentic vintage design and versatile sound for almost every musical style. The 4-string bass offers a natural ash body and a maple neck with 70s style block inlays, along with two single coil pickups to deliver a wide range of inspiring tones. The electric bass is completed by high-quality hardware and historically inspired covers over bridge and middle pickup.
The design of the Vintage Reissued VJ74NAT MN Natural is based on the classic 1970s electric basses and the body is made of ash, whose grain remains visible through the transparent Natural finish. The maple neck is fastened with four screws and a neck plate, the maple fingerboard has 20 frets and authentic block inlays. With its well-proportioned "C" profile and the wide fretboard with 42.5 mm saddle size, the electric bass offers a high level of playing comfort.
2x Wilkinson WJB800 single coils developed by Trevor Wilkinson are fitted on the Vintage Reissued VJ747. Classically constructed with four pairs of pole pieces flanking each string, the pickups deliver a transparent sound with fast attack. Individual volume controls allow the signals of both pickups to be mixed with each other, providing a wide range of harmonious tones for almost any musical style between rock, funk, blues and pop. This ranges from the full low end thrust in solo operation of the middle pickup to the dry assertiveness of the bridge pickup used alone and all stages in between. The treble control can be used for further sound adjustment.
The Vintage Reissued JV747 Bass is completed by high-quality hardware. A Wilkinson Standard Bass Bridge is used on the body which ensures perfect intonation and string position with four adjustable string riders. The strings are guided with the classic Longscale scale (34" or 864 mm) in the direction of the headpiece on which Wilkinson WJBL200 tuners ensure a precise and stable tuning. The 4-string bass has historically inspired bridge and pickup covers that give it an authentic vintage look.

Vintage are not as well known as fender or gibson but they make strong, heavy, good quality instruments with good pickups. My 2nd vintage purchase
