Vermona twinVCFilter is a dual filter module with flexible routing. Each filter unit generates low and high pass filters with an edge steepness of 12 dB/octave and a bandpass filter with 6 dB/octave.
Signals can be passed through the filter units in three ways:
With twinVCFilter and its three routings you can create extremely versatile filter variants: bandpass or notch filters with separately adjustable edges or doubling the edge steepness are among the simplest exercises. It allows you to easily process stereo signals in dual mode.
The flexible signal routing is supplemented by the mix section. Here you can weight the output levels of both filter units - manually or by means of control voltages. This allows you among other things the stepless crossfading between different filter types or halved and double edge steepness. Of course, you can also mix two completely independent signals, crossfade or switch hard via square-wave LFO.
The behaviour of the filter resonance plays an important role in the context of sound shaping and creation. That is why we have trimmed them with special care for stability and musicality. It can be regulated evenly from subtle frequency-dependent level boost to natural oscillation. twinVC filters then generate stable sine tones, which are an excellent basis for percussive sounds. Mutual modulations of the filter units extend the sound generation functions enormously. Oh yes, if you need a vibrato-LFO, twinVCFilter will jump in!
Extension board tVCF-Extension will be available soon to extend the already opulent sound arsenal of twinVCFilter.
