Fuzz effect pedal with germanium transistors for electric guitar
The Vemuram Shanks 4K Germanium Fuzz was developed in close cooperation between the Japanese effect manufacturer and producer legend John Shanks, who is regarded as a true gearhead with a preference for vintage equipment. Accordingly, the effect pedal, whose hand-wired circuitry is tested and meticulously tuned during production, delivers a particularly dynamic fuzz sound that reacts sensitively to the electric guitar's velocity and volume control. The spectrum ranges from the just breaking clean tone with a slight touch to the brute distortion, whereby the sound pattern can be precisely adjusted via the controls for level, fuzz, bass and treble. As a special feature, the distortion character can be precisely adjusted via the "Fuzz Color" trim potentiometer on the front side of the solid brass housing.
