V3 Sound Grand Piano XXL is a sound module with a variety of high-quality samples of selected, especially popular concert grand pianos and pianos, but also synthesizers, organs, accordion and other instruments. It can be used to easily expand the sonic bandwidth when using a midi controller. Especially the small dimensions of the module make it interesting for live use and in the studio. The Expander uses the latest sampling technologies to accommodate phenomena such as Sympathetic Resonance and String Resonance. The integrated reverb effect has its own control.
The available sounds are composed as follows:
22x Grand Piano
34x electric piano
127x organs
159x Synthesizer
34x accordion
28x String Orchestra
130x Winds Solo & Section
38x Guitar & Bass

Being a hobby music maker, I felt there was a gap in acoustic type sounds in my setup, especially piano. Not many sound modules out there these days so did some research and the V3 Sound modules were positively mentioned in several forums. Not much information out there about them but I decided to take a chance (as not cheap). So far so good liking the sounds (as always some really good some not so good, but luckily the ones that matter are really good). I like the minimal look and small form factor, I can easily change the sound using midi and it listens on all 16 midi channels so actually no need to have any form of control application (unless you want to use the inbuilt effects), so simple to use.

Excellent replacement for Yamaha Silent Series piano sounds
Bought this product to upgrade the sound when playing in silent mode on my Yamaha Silent Series (disklavier). Plugged it into the Midi out, worked straight away and the Piano (the default Bosendorffer Imperial) is a way way better than that the piano sounds already in my Yamaha piano, very pleased., so much that I now enjoy playing it in silent mode as much as (if not more than) acoustically.
