The Turbosound iQ10 Active PA Speaker is a powered two-way loudspeaker that's suited for a huge range of portable and fixed installation, music and speech applications.
The sound comes from an 10" low frequency driver with a low mass voice coil for improved transient response, and a high temperature 1" compression driver with copper-clad aluminium voice coil for extended high frequency reproduction. Powering the speaker is a light-weight and highly efficient 2500-Watt KLARK TEKNIK class-D power amplifier. The KLARK TEKNIK Digital Signal Processor (DSP) manages the high degree of control, and provides dynamic EQ for remarkable full range response at low volume levels, and transparent limiting for the utmost clarity at high output levels. The advanced DSP speaker modelling presets include accurate and detailed models of some the most prestigious loudspeakers in the industry.
KLARK TEKNIK also developed a Spatial Contour Control DSP function, allowing the user to easily optimise the iQ10's frequency response for the physical speaker placement. This function provides frequency compensation for stand, floor, ceiling or wall placement. It's a lot like the adjustments commonly found on studio reference monitors.
The rear of the iQ10 features a user interface that consists of an LCD display, the channel A and B gain controls, and single rotary encoder knob. This encoder knob allows for intuitive access to level. EQ, speaker modelling, SCC, subwoofer integration and feedback control. The connections include, two combo XLR/Jack inputs and balanced XLR outputs for each of the two independent channels, and a Mix Out XLR connector, the iQ10 features a mic/line switch and level control with signal present LED on each channel.
The iQ10 features Turbosound's proprietary ULTRANET technology, which allows the use of Cat5 cables to transmit multi multi-channel audio signals and other information between other ULTRANET enabled devices. An intergrated USB port allows you to control the iQ10 with a PC, as well as DSP and speaker modelling firmware updates.
The enclosure is made from reinforced fibre glass composite, that's fitted with a rugged powder coated perforated steel mesh grill and multiple internal rigging points for permanent installations. It also includes a dual angle pole mount socket that allows the enclosure to be pole mounted straight on, or raised and angled downwards for optimal audience coverage. Mains power input and link output is provided via Neutrik powerCON connectors.
