Triad-Orbit SB1-BB Ballast Bag provides additional counterweight to the Triad-Orbit SB1 Starbird. Although the Starbird mic stand already boasts excellent stability and is an excellent choice for heavy studio microphones, this counterweight provides additional security. If you want to use extra heavy microphones, you will prevent falls and defects. The sturdy nylon bag is filled with approx. 2.7 kg of steel sand, which provides the necessary counterweight.

How do I apply the Triad-Orbit SB1-BB Starbird Ballast Bag?

The counterweight is extremely easy to attach. Since the existing counterweight on the Starbird allows for effortless, variable positioning, additional ballast can be added as needed. Simply remove the cover on the back of the counterweight and slide in SB1-BB.

After attachment, check the locking mechanism and adjust as needed. This will ensure that the counterweight does not move due to the added weight.
