Audio plugin for reggae drum sounds from Toontrack
The Reggae EZX was recorded at Rub-a-Dub Studios in Stockholm, Sweden and features a unique collection of instruments. They have all been carefully selected specifically for this recording session. There are two complete custom drum sets with single-sided drumheads as well as a generous selection of various snare drums, percussion, binghi and clay drums. Only very rare and original Vintage microphones and outboard equipment were used for the recordings, and the entire recording process was carried out on a Soundcraft Series II console in typical 1970s style.
With the help of these special technical conditions in combination with the warm, organic sound of the wood-paneled wall surfaces and the resulting dense room sound as well as the rich recording experience of over 30 years in reggae music, it was possible to record reggae drum sounds that are unparalleled in authenticity and original character. The result is rich, slightly distorted and warm sounds of pure joy of playing that fit into every production and every Mix as if by magic.
