Attenuator for valve amplifiers with 30 Watt load capacity
The
Tone King Ironman II Mini
is specifically designed to tame medium power valve amplifiers. The compact
attenuator
handles amplifiers up to
30 watts
into
8 ohms
and reduces the output volume of the amp without compromising sound quality. To achieve this, the Ironman II mirrors the impedance curve typical of guitar speakers to faithfully reproduce sound and attack. The overall volume is simply reduced in
six switchable steps
, while the
Range switch
with
HI
and
LO
modes provides two different power reductions for each position of the Attenuation Level control. The included
SOLO footswitch
provides the option to give a
switchable boost
to the signal for leads. Furthermore the Ironman II Mini features a
Presence switch
with three steps
for controlling treble and compression, while the rear line out allows for seamless integration on stage and in the studio.
The Tone King Ironman II Mini at a glance:

Speaker connector (8 Ohm)
Attenuation Knob with six steps
RANGE switch for different attenuation levels
Presence switch for lowering the highs
SOLO foot switch for boost
Line output
Operation via batteries or optionally available 9V DC power supply
I bought this to tame my PRS MT15. Even if i turn it to 7W mode and apply the full attenuation the Ironman offers, I can still only barely open the volume for the lead channel. For some reason I can open the clean channel a bit more. But it definitely helps and Im happy with my purchase. I also like the fact that it doesnt require power to work so one less cable on the floor.
