Vortex ART Wavetable Oscilator
The ART Vortex from Tiptop Audio's ART series is a digital Wavetable oscillator with an authentic 80s vintage digital sound. The tone generator comes from the factory with 64 wavetables, which can be added to via MicroSD card and your own Wavetables. Part of the circuit is a second oscill ator with the same wave set as the first, which is operated with the Detune control. The control range extends from slight detuning and phasing to an octave below the main oscillator, which practically turns it into a sub-oscillator. The Position control can be used to morph through the individual Wavetables manually and via control voltage. A Wavetables can also be selected via CV. The vibrato input is basically an FM input with reduced maximum intensity. ART Vortex is controlled exclusively via the ART input, which is why this oscillator is only suitable for Eurorack systems with ART standard.
What is ART?
With the ART interface, TipTop Audio defines a new high-speed transmission standard that works with normal Eurorack cables. CV, Gate, Pitchbend, ModWheel, Program Change, etc. are transmitted to modules that support the ART standard with significantly reduced cabling effort. Polyphony is also supported.
