The Madrid based manufacturer Tierra Audio presents with the Tierra Audio Model Mint an interesting series of 7 preamps in pocket size. The devices have their own tone and can be used with standard phantom power in front of a microphone preamplifier as a booster for dynamic moving coils or ribbons like SM7-B, RE20 or Royer R-10. All Tierra Audio products are developed and handmade in a small factory in the Spanish capital. Only selected components are used and the manufacturer stands out from the sea of clone forges with its own eco-guideline.

Mint helps with mixing

The Flavour Mint makes it easy to prepare a track for the mix while recording: Especially in denser arrangements, the Mint's early low cut with tasteful emphasis on the transients really benefits an acoustic guitar, a mic'd amp, or even other string or wind instruments, helping to place them in the mix while still giving them presence. But also vocal tracks and generally elements that should be more forward in the mix can be enhanced and made more interesting with the Mint.
