The Taylor Guitar Slide Ebony M offers an interesting alternative to the usual glass or brass bottlenecks with its warm and smooth sound. The ebony used for this guitar comes from Taylor's own ebony plantation in Crelicam, Cameroon, and is produced in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way.
Taylor Guitar Slide Ebony MHow do you rate the Taylor ebony guitars slide? It's one of a kind with only one normal use. Craftsmanship has got to be five stars. It's made perfectly round, smooth with a hole running though.
Features?.....er, it only has one function and it does it well....so there's another 5/5.
Price/performance is the only real area for debate. For me it performs perfectly well (see Craftsmanshipt and Features). However, I think Taylor could have introduced more players to the slide, and to glorious ebony, had they pitched the price lower. Mind you, they probably wouldn't have been able to keep up with demand if they sold it much cheaper. So, I reckon 4/5 is about right. Surely lot's of exceptional and exclusive products get 4/5?
