With the Taylor GT Urban Ash, the Californian cult manufacturer presents one of its latest achievements in the field of acoustic guitars, which, in addition to its all solid materials, is also equipped with the newly designed C-Class bracing and comes with a stable Taylor AeroCase, creating a unique sound experience with its small dimensions.
Thanks to its spruce top with C-Class bracing, its compact body in the new Grand Theatre format develops a warm tone that is enriched with expressive bass frequencies. To ensure ecological sustainability, the manufacturer uses ash wood for the back and sides, which had to be felled due to weather damage, but is still perfectly suited for building high-quality guitars. The short mahogany neck with its ebony fretboard ensures comfortable playability in all 20 frets, which, in combination with the short scale length of 612.7 mm and the narrow nut width of 43.6 mm, are easily accessible even for small hands. The typical Taylor headstock is equipped with small nickel tuners allowing precise tuning of the 6 steel strings lying on a Black Graphite nut. The compensated micarta saddle additionally ensures clean intonation. Italian Acrylic Pinnacle inlays, a Tortoise pickguard, a Three-Ring Koa soundhole rosette and a wafer-thin matte finish round off this great guitar.
