Taylor 818e

With the new Taylor 818e acoustic guitar, the Californian manufacturer presents a reissue of the largest of all Taylor models. The massive construction in Grand Orchestra style, consisting of a solid Sitka spruce top and a solid rosewood body, produces a very rich and saturated sound in the low end, assertive mids and clear highs, making the guitar perfect for strumming. Thanks to its discreet attack, the gentle giant is nevertheless well suited for picking or fingerstyle due to its flat mahogany neck with ebony fretboard. A 648 mm scale length and 44.45 mm nut width give the player easy access to the higher positions, where the individual notes intonate perfectly thanks to the new V-Class Bracing. The Taylor 818e electro acoustic guitar is further complemented by elaborate Mission inlays made of mother-of-pearl and abalone, a single ring soundhole rosette made of shell and paua and a delicate "Antique Blonde" finish. For use on stage, the instrument features the Expression System 2, which allows the acoustic guitar's sound to be perfectly accentuated even when amplified. Another highlight is the custom-fit case, decorated with floral patterns.
