Electro acoustic guitar, Grand Auditorium, solid Sitka-spruce top, rosewood body, mahogany neck, pickup system, including Aerocase.
With the new 214ce Plus, the manufacturer Taylor, known for its innovations, expands its popular 200 series with a beautiful Grand Auditorium Western guitar with a narrow waist and noble high-gloss finish. As with the standard model, the basic construction consists of a solid Sitka spruce top and rosewood body, which combine to reproduce a decidedly powerful and balanced sound that is particularly pronounced in the bass and treble frequencies, although the guitar's waist is a bit narrower. A flat mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard is exceptionally user-friendly to play, thanks to a scale length of 648 mm, a nut width of 42.8 mm, and a generous cutaway all the way to the highest registers. Set into a headstock equipped with an ebony overlay, precise chrome-plated die-cast tuners are enthroned, which perfectly round off the overall appearance. The built-in Expression System 2 also amplifies the acoustic sound of the guitar in a very natural way, making the 214ce Plus the perfect companion on stage as well. A high-gloss finish is another highlight of the cleverly designed guitar, as it allows the player a very special view of the multi-faceted grain of the wood. The guitar comes in a newly designed Taylor Aerocase.
