Been looking for a solid rack mount recorder for a while with easy playback features. Having plenty of media options was essential, so having both dual SD, CD and USB was a real plus. Works as a normal CD player too if that is something you may need. This tours with me for playback of backing tracks and on demand cues , where I use the optional RC-SS150 for clear and easy playlist options etc. If you have this networked, I’d recommend the remote app for this too for extra wireless functionality. Couldn’t comment on Dante integration as this is not something I have included, but an expansion card is available for those that want this. Solid feel, came with plenty of manuals & mounting hardware. Be aware though that so far I’ve noticed the tascam doesn’t like SD cards over 128GB in size, but will automatically switch between the two cards when recording if one becomes full. My only gripe with this is that ordering to the UK uses UPS for delivery who are notoriously useless in sticking to delivery times. Had to wait two weeks past the scheduled delivery date to be sent a customs bill of £157 for them to finally send it through. Wouldn’t have minded if it was clear why it was held up, but the tracking app says it will be delivered when it’s actually not ever left the warehouse - parcels just seem to get lost in their systems. Very happy with the product though but just pray that online sellers use companies like DPD for UK delivery as higher value items like music equipment cause a bit of panic when parcels don’t arrive when they’re supposed to.
