The Tascam DP-006 is a digital multi-track recorder from Tascam's PocketStudio series, offering a variety of key features any musician would need in a portable music sketch pad.
The Tascam DP-006 offers six tracks of multi-track recording with track editing functions for cleaning up recordings once they've been made. Two tracks can be recorded at the same time, while all six tracks can be played back simultaneously.
The DP-006 has built-in high-quality stereo condenser microphones in the front of the unit for great-sounding recordings wherever you are. Simply point them at your subject and press record. The DP-006 can accommodate SD and SDHC cards of up to 32GB capacity, and recordings can be transferred to a computer using the included USB cable.

Purchased to replace my old Boss Br-600 as I just wanted something to use to quickly get down ideas and it does the job great. Simple to use, got up and recording within 5 mins of plugging it all in. Great for ideas and also for recording tracks to move over to a PC to mix more complicated arrangements.

I have had the earlier model for a long time DP-004 which is a very good multi track recorder. With the DP-006 it's a bit more advanced and I need some help as the manual does not fully explain how 6 tracks can be recoded and mixed, Other than that I am sure it will prove to be very good
