The Tama TB42ZS-ESEB STAR Bubinga Shell Set in Sierra Red Bosse Burst (ESEB) is a professional drum set from Tama's absolute high-end series, STAR Bubinga. On the outside and inside of the shells there is a layer of the precious wood Bosse, which gives the shell set an incomparably noble appearance. The cast hoops are tonally tuned, so the sound of the drumset is consistently harmonious. The drum shells consist of only four layers of Bubinga, each with an outer and inner layer of Bosse. A finely crafted 9 mm Sound Focus reinforcement ring is worked into the upper and lower ends of each shell. This amplifies and compresses the natural sound of the shell and in connection with the naturally low sounding Bubinga, results in a voluminous and balanced drum sound with a large bass portion, crisp attack and a defined response. The Super Resonant Mounting System with the classic Tama Quick Lock brackets allows the drum shells to resonate freely.
The Tama Star Drums are equipped with a new type of bearing edge with a rounded tip to provide a larger contact surface for the heads thus a better transmission of the vibrations from the head to the shell. The tom suspensions have also been redesigned and promise a minimum load on the hoops and shells with only three contact points.
Quick-Lock Tom and Floor Tom clamps make it much easier to set up and remove Tama Star drums. In addition, the unique design of the clamps eliminates the need for memory locks.
The new lugs and bass drum claws of the Tama Star Drums improve the vibration characteristics of the drum due to their low weight and minimal contact to the shell.
This effect is further enhanced by the absence of a classic metal badge and an edging of the air compensation holes made of wood instead of metal. The Star Drums logo is embossed into the shell instead.
