The Tama Superstar Hyperdrive ML42HLZBN is a 4-piece drumset including hardware package. The shells are made from maple and produce a very powerful and warm tone, perfect for all modern styles of music. The high quality features with cast hoops on all toms, rim mounts and Sound Bridge Hi-Tension lugs meet the highest demands and make the Tama Superstar drums a great companion for the stage, studio and your rehearsal room.
The Tama Superstar drums come with Hyper-Drive size shells, meaning they are shorter than common drums. This particular shell construction results in a very fast response with a short, cutting and articulate sound with a lot of attack which you will have a hard time finding anywhere else in this price range. The short tom sizes also allow you to position the drums much easier and more flexible.
The drums of the Superstar series are made from maple. The tom toms, floor toms and snare feature 6 plies while the bass drum has 8 plies. The perfectly round shells have a strength of 5 mm and 7 mm. The clean cut bearing edges provide optimal head contact. The shell hardware including the hoops and rim mounts feature an awesome Black Nickel finish which gives the drum a very noble look. All toms have cast hoops for solid tuning. All hardware parts feature rubber padding to prevent metal to wood contact while also enhancing the shell resonance. The heads come from the Powercraft series, the bass drum head has a damping ring to eliminate unwanted overtones.
The set comes with a complete hardware package with two boom cymbal stand and a snare stand from the 60 series as well as hihat stand and pedal from the Iron Cobra series. Tom mount and multiclamps are included as well.
