The Tama LSP30CS-TWS S.L.P. Fat Spruce ShellSet is a professional drum set, consisting of three shells made entirely from spruce wood. The compact drum set from the Tama S.L.P. Series features cast-iron hoops, Evans G1 heads and the new Tama Direct Flexi Mount. The Tube lugs are made from brass and the sound of the drums features a lot of bass and defined mids thanks to the selected spruce wood. The high quality satin Wild Spruce finish emphasizes the grain of the wood very naturally.
For the S.L.P. drumsets Tama has developed a new tom mount, which supports the natural sound of the wood and lets the drum shell resonate freely. The Direct Flexi-Mount consists of a two-piece construction, which uses a metal plate on the drum as well as a holder for the L-Rod. Together, these, in use with a shaft made of steel, a hinge that allows a slightly horizontally playable tom. This design controls the vibration of the shell to the hardware and leaves more room to develop the sound through the insulation, compared to directly mounted drums. Soft transitions, a clear sound and accentuation of the wood sound is characteristic for this technology.
The special feature of the Tama LSP30CS-TWS S.L.P. Fat Spruce ShellSet is the shell material, spruce wood. This produces a very deep, fat and at the same time natural sound with a lot of attack. The bass drum consists of 8 plies with 7 mm thickness of the handselected wood, the toms of 6 plies with only 5 mm thickness.
The sound is additionally focused by the Tama cast hoops, which together with the tube lugs made from brass and the Evans G1 heads form an unbeatable combination of stability, tunability and ideal response.
