The Tama HC4FB Hardware Set Classic is a 4-piece kit consisting of 2x HC52F cymbal stands, HH55F hi-hat stand, HS50S snare stand and including matching transport bag.
The Classic series impresses with traditional vintage design and is modeled after the models of the 1960s. The stands promise stability, practical adjustment options and reliability, packed in a modern construction. The flat base design also allows you an easy and uncomplicated placement between other stands of your setup.
Well made, stable, light and compact. Exactly as it says on the tin. So much easier to transport, set up and break down. Kit takes up less space on a crowded stage. Have needed them for years. And not too expensive.
Playing acoustic jazz but also pub and party covers in an amplified band, these work just fine for me, handling 21''ride, 18'', 16'' crashes ,set fairly low. Quality manufacturing, and an unbelievably light and compact package to replace what was once two large hardware cases...
Haven't really given the HH stand a robust test yet, but looks good so far.
I have owned DW”s 6000 series ultralight set over the last few years which was quite disappointing. It felt a bit cheap and the screw threads broke easily. This set feels much better (and cheaper). For me, the TamaHC4FB is a great hardware set which is far superior and cheaper to DW’s ultralight offering.
The stands were as expected as was the accompanying bag. Relatively light, functional and well-made. I sourced and purchased them to accompany a new Pearl MidTown kit purchased for portability and the whole package is light and compact enough for me to take on public transport or in my new convertible (cabriolet) car. It's more Uber-friendly too. I was able to add the rack tom holder, floor tom 3 legs, stand for the stool and bass drum riser to the bag also. The only negative to this purchase was adding and paying for the UPS courier service. They were awful, very bad. They lied about attempting delivery and 5 days later I had to pick the package up myself from their warehouse. I would also add that there is no need to put a bag in a box and then in a bigger box! DV247, please don't use UPS anymore, you only need to read the reviews on Google to see how dreadful they are. Aside from this I am very happy with my purchase.
