Featuring a custom designed 6.5" 2-way coaxial driver from legendary loudspeaker company Tannoy, VoiceSolo FX150 delivers exceptional musical clarity and a premium full range punch. Not only is the tone kept intact and pristine, but the expert voicing of the driver means that more volume and power is drawn from the 150 Watts than any other system in the same class. In other words, even when it gets loud on stage, you’ll hear yourself – and your music – projected perfectly.
I bought the new Voice Solo a month ago and I dont leave the house without it if I know Ill be playing music. Heres why: its extremely light and extremely loud!
Its very user friendly too. You just plug it in, put in your instruments and start playing. I know ITS called Voice solo but Ive tried it with guitars, basses, a synth, an electric piano, a microphone and even an electric viola. It all sounded better than my Vox amplifier and that thing is huge and heavy!
Youd think the different products of TC-Helicon would work well together but I dont like going through my Voicelive 2. Maybe Im doing something wrong but theres something off about the balance there.
Because of this product I took singing to the next level. I can hear myself sing without worrying about the tone or the volume. There s a button that helps you with that and it works really well. There are also some very good reverb options although you can only have one reverb for both instruments. You can make it more profound for your voice for example but its still the same model. It would be nice to have 2 different presets for the different instruments.
Although it feels and looks plastic, it feels robust too. You can put it on the ground, on a PA standard or on your microphone stand. A good idea I thought but I noticed I get a lot of feedback sometimes when I put it that close to the microphone. I prefer to just put it on the ground.
The good
- good price/quality
- loud
- userfriendly
- vocal tone button
The bad
- one reverb model at a time for all instruments
- the vocal remover isnt that good
So overall Id give it 85% just because it sounds so loud and so beautiful for such a cheap, light and small wonderbox.
İ was reading all the comments i found regarding this product, because i was not sure if is suitable for open-air.
İm the lead singer in a small band (31), and i can only say that long time ive been waiting for such a light-portable/ clear&powerfull monitor!
"Vocal Tone" makes my job a lot easier and i love being able to controle the frequencies as well as my microphone volume that goes to my audience.
Video manual/ reference manual are both very useful, and explained clearly how i must make the connections.
İm using it min. 5times/week since almost 1month and i can say: it is loud enough, the sound is clear, it stays perfectly on my microphone stand (which sustain also an İPad) and it allready helped me to improve my singing!
İ further recommend it for those with similar jobs!
I'm a keyboardist/occasional vocalist in a semi pro band. As my Behringer B205D burnt out at my last gig (bless it...years of good service) I had to decide whether to 'upgrade' to the TC Helicon, and went for it. I've not gigged it yet but it sounds great at home. The Tannoy drive unit handles bass better and the sound is more faithful than the Behringer (which was pretty good anyway). I love the controls and 3 band EQ, and the integrated effects are a nice bonus. Two of my bandies use these, and they are very happy with them. They daisy chain them for the main monitor mix and that still leaves a channel for their own input if required. You can choose whether only one or both channels go 'thru'. Nearly twice the price of the Beringer, but I think it's a better product. Time, and a few gigs, will tell!
