I've previously used the TC helicon mic mechanic for a couple of years & was looking for a few more options on stage along with being able to hear myself sing. I Decided on the Singthing after reading the specs. So....I have played with this singthing all day & reloaded back to factory settings twice now (I do like to dabble lol) & it was the only way to find out what this baby can do. I followed all directions on quick setup & downloading Voice support 2 & registration. I know I won't use all of the voices but I did have some fun discovering them & am quite impressed. I am hoping to find 4 or 5 settings that I will regularly use & or modify to my liking. You can even save settings & backups via your laptop which I found out when experimenting, hence the preset & the factory reset I had to do (thank goodness I didnt totally loose it) by the way its a good idea to download & or print the full user manual (12 pgs) which tells you so much more. Not sure if it will be everything I need in a band situation when the guys get loud but I'm sure I can use it for solo.
Please note: The adapter included for GB was incompatible with the power cord supplied. In Singthings documentation it stipulates you must use their provided power/kettle cord so I was lucky I had a spare adapter I could use to get me up & running. Otherwise I think I would have been a tad disgruntled having to chase another one up in a hurry.
Anyway, thankyou DV247 team for your quick response & help with the delivery, which was quite fast coming from Germany & also very happy with the price. Happy to recommend you & deal with you again in the future, cheers! :)
and not enough is made of the wonderful Tannoy dual-concentric speaker this unit has. It truly sounds amazing for such a small compact item and comes complete with all cables, a mic with an fx switch built in as a very well made padded, protective carry case. First class!
