The TC Electronic HyperGravity Compressor Guitar Pedal is a versatile compressor with three modes of operation: Spectra, TonePrint and Vintage. These modes offer a wide range of sound between vintage and modern tones. Its Multiband algorithm is popular among producers as the bass, midrange and treble is individually compressed, resulting in a sustainable transparent and highly musical sound.
The vintage mode of the Hyper Gravity Compressor produces a classic old school sound, perfect for funky rhythms or percussive country tones. The TonePrint Editor provides in-depth tailoring to achieve your own perfect compression tone. The free TonePrint App allows the user to beam custom compression tones uploaded by others to the pedal. Adapting sound is easy using special controls for attack, sustain, level and blend.

Very little noise and great value.
This is my first TC Electronic pedal, so my first time using TonePrint. I decided to watch a few videos regards TonePrint before using the pedal and the one covering the basics was certainly enough to get me moving in the right direction to discover the potential of this HyperGravity pedal. I'd bought this pedal because I wanted a compressor that didn't colour my tone negatively by reducing the mids and top end and after testing out the three different options installed on the pedal, which are all very useabl in the right circumstances, I honed my choice down to 3 artist created supposedly transparent TonePrint presets.
I found using the Toneprint app on my laptop very easy to use, each preset selected can be heard instantly with the pedal connected via USB and there are some interesting tones to be had as well as the transparent ones. I did have an issue with large increases in volume when selecting presets via the app though, and this issue did not happen consistently. On the three separate occasions I used the TonePrint app, the first two occasions had issues, but not the last. I also found it difficult to adjust the level accurately on some artist presets, tiny movements of the Level knob produced rather large changes and as one cannot edit artist presets, I cannot edit the knobs behaviour as I could do with non artist presets or my own custom presets. Having said all that, I'm very happy with the tone of my guitars through this pedal and its compression capabilities. In terms of value for money, this is an amazing pedal, you get loads for your money because of the many ways it can shape guitar tones. There is so much complexity to this pedal should you want, but if you're looking for a guitar compressor that is tonally transparent as well as the exact opposite, this pedal does the job superbly.
